Hallingdal Museum in Nesbyen
Hallingdal Museum from 1899 is one of the oldest open-air museums in Norway, and houses 30 antiquarian buildings and over 30,000 objects from the entire Hallingdal region. The legendary "Staveloftet" from Ål, was built around the year 1340 and is one of the country's best-preserved non-church wooden houses from the Middle Ages.

The exhibition “Into the Art”
In the old office building of Sorenskriveren (The Magistrate) you can join a journey into the art of Hans Gude and his artist friends in Norway and Europe. It is also a journey of discovery in the Nesbyen environment as Hans Gude met it.

Gardnos Meteorite Park
The Gardnos Crater is one of the world's most accessible meteorite craters, especially because the crater itself and the traces of the impact are easy to find along the nature trail.

Old Nes
In the 19th century, the official's residence lived in Hallingdal in Nesbyen. For the visitors, "Næsbyen" appeared with a city-like feel. These included, among others, a magistrate, bailiff, sheriff, clergyman, attorney and doctor, as well as several merchants who ran land-based and varied industries.

Nesbyen Art Landscape
Art landscape Nesbyen consists of two things: A free outdoor art trail with easels and the indoor exhibition "In To The Art" at Sorenskrivergården in Nesbyen. The latter is open on selected days during the summer.
