1 km round trip, <1 hour. Study artwork on display along this short, but interesting cultural trail. Start from “Sorenskrivergården”, through the Hallingdal museum area and continue up along the river Rukkedøla.
4 km round trip, approx. 1 h. A nice hike that gives you a taste of Nesbyen town center – here is a lot to see along the way. The hike is signposted and runs on asphalt and gravel roads.
1.4 km round trip, <1 hour. Universally designed walking route around the idyllic lake Trytetjern. Perfect for jogging or strolling. The path passes the bathing area.
12 km round trip, approx. 3.5 hours. The highest peak in Nesbyen. From here you see far in every direction. In 2017, it was highlighted by the national newspaper Dagsavisen as one of ten “Easy-going gold peaks in southern Norway”.
14.5 km round trip, approx. 4 hours. The highest mountain in Nes Østmark offers a wide view of eg. Hemsedalsfjella and Golsfjellet. Great round trip via Buvasstølan.
15 km round trip, approx. 4 hours. Dyna is a popular hiking destination. The trail goes through birch forest and bare mountains. From the top you have a wonderful view towards the mighty Hallingskarvet mountain range.
8 km round trip, approx. 2.5 hours. It is possible to use a bike halfway from the parking to the top. Easy climb to Åkrefjell with panoramic view. Return via Øyvatn for a nice round trip.
11.5 km round trip, approx. 3 hours. A popular and varied hike. Follow dirt roads and trail towards Trommenatten, the highest point of this hike. The hike is marked with red ribbons.
16 km round trip, approx. 4 hours. You can use your bicycle on the first half of this trip. Park your bike by Såten, and hike the trail towards the mountain top Såtenatten.
4 km round trip, approx. 2 hours. Steep, but good trail from lake Trytetjern, leads you up to nice view point of Nesbyen town center.
8 km round trip, approx. 3 hours. Follow gravel road and trails from Hallingdal Museum. Airy viewpoint of downtown Nesbyen. Several opportunities for round trip, with many trails in this area.
13 km round trip, approx. 4.5 hours. Characteristic mountain south of Nesbyen town center. This hike is quite a challenge, but the view from the top ridge is worth it.
7 km round trip, approx. 2 hours. Easy and child-friendly hike in Liemarka. Good fishing and bathing opportunities along the trail. Great view of Vassfaret and distant peaks in Hemsedal and Valdres.
9 km round trip, approx. 4 hours. Marked trail from Kråkehaugen (accessible by car June 20 – September 20). The peak is located in the inner Vassfaret landscape conservation area and provides a great 360 degrees view.
20 km round trip, approx. 6 hours. Rarely visited peak that gives a taste of wilderness. Partially indistinct trail near the top, so bring a map.
